Sports Play by Play Camp at MCM Prepares Future Broadcasters
Montgomery Community Media (MCM) was the place to be this week for young, aspiring sportscasters. 45 kids ages 10-18 came to MCM for a Play-by-Play Sports Broadcasting Camp, the nation’s largest such camp according to Neil Hartman who was a longtime sportscaster in Philadelphia now the camp director. Hartman told MCM what his favorite part of the camp is.
Wistar Institute opens research center dedicated to finding an HIV cure
The Wistar Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to biomedical research, is investing $24 million to advance its efforts to identify a cure for HIV. Part of the goal in creating a center at a second Philadelphia campus is to find a vaccine to immunize against the virus or a way to eradicate the virus once people have contracted it – or both, said Dr. Dario Altieri, Wistar's president and CEO.

Bicyclist killed in Rittenhouse Square, one of several crashes under investigation
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 30-year-old woman on a bike was fatally struck in Rittenhouse Square, and two other crashes in Philadelphia left a person dead and another critically injured Wednesday night, police said.
