For over a decade, New Jersey has had one singular app control of all of the horse racing wagering in the state. That’s set to change after a deal between Darby Developments and NYRA Bets. Darby Developments is home to Monmouth Park in NJ. On Tuesday, it was announced that NYRA Bets will become the managing vendor of New Jersey’s parimutuel horse betting system. With this, several advanced deposit wagering (ADW) platforms will be allowed to operate in the market. FanDuel Group owns TVG, which has operated 4NJbets for more than a decade. Speeding driver kills bicyclist in Center City Philadelphia
A speeding driver killed a bicyclist on Wednesday night in Center City Philadelphia, according to police.It happened around 7 p.m. while the cyclist was traveling in a designated bike lane at 18th and Spruce streets.Police say the 30-year-old woman was thrown about 20 to 30 feet before she hit the ground. PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 30-year-old woman bicyclist was fatally struck in Rittenhouse Square, and two other crashes in Philadelphia left a person dead and another critically injured Wednesday night, police said. The crash that left the bicyclist dead happened at the intersection of Spruce and 18th streets at 7 p.m., according to police. A 68-year-old man driving a "blue 2018 vehicle" was traveling west on Spruce Street when it hit the bicyclist, who was also heading westbound in the bike lane, police said. Baribo’s hat trick powers Union past Revs
Tai Baribo netted his first hat trick to lead Philadelphia Union to a resounding 5-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Wednesday night. It was a breakout first half performance for the Boys in Blue as Baribo scored twice before the break while defender Kai Wagner connected with Jakob Glesnes for a thundering finish off a corner. Baribo opened the scoring for the Union just before the half hour mark, directing a cross from Jack Elliott in the middle of the box. Ten minutes later Philly doubled its lead on the Glesnes goal while Baribo made it 3-0 for the Boys in Blue with a counter attacking finish set up by Mikael Uhre and Alejandro Bedoya. The visiting Revs got on the board in the 50th minute but Baribo quickly re-established the Union’s three goal advantage with the completion of the hat trick. Wagner was locked in on both sides of the contest, setting up three of the Union’s four goals to move within one assist of tying Union Ring of Honoree Sebastien Le Toux for the most in club history.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — How would you like to get paid for helping clean up your neighborhood?Philadelphia is offering community groups money to get rid of tires that were illegally dumped across the city with the Tire Round-up Program.Here's how it works: Block captains and community groups need to register with the city to participate in the program and then you'll get paid 50 cents for every tire you bring to a drop-off site starting July 27.Registration is limited to the first 150 community groups each year, and each group can collect a maximum of 1,000 tires.Here is how to register for the program:Identify a Tire Round-up coordinator within your group.Call the Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee at (215) 685-3981 to request an agreement form.Complete the agreement form. Fill out and email the form to tireroundup@phila.gov to register.
