NYSEG representative talks power restoration times for Southern Tier
SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WENY) -- On Monday, tens of thousands of people in the Southern Tier lost power after severe thunderstorms rolled through the region. Many continued to be without power into Tuesday, and NYSEG was able to provide an explanation as to why it was taking a while for residents to get their lights back on.
The Moving Wall Moves On
TIOGA, PA (WENY) -- After six days and welcoming thousands of visitors, The Moving Wall has come down at Williamson High School in Tioga, Pennsylvania. The final visitors spent the last few moments looking at the names on the wall, which is a half-sized traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. Monday afternoon, volunteers helped to disassemble the wall, which was loaded back on the truck, and will eventually head to its next destination.

Drinking water available for residents without power
(WENY) -- With over 10,000 people in Chemung County alone without power, a number of fresh water stations have been set up on Tuesday, July 16th to help people get by. Chemung County Emergency Management has set up water distribution site in Elmira at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department located at 1001 Carl St. and the East Water Street and Dewitt Ave. Parking Lot located next to the Clarion Inn.
