Christmas in July for the Car Santa

Kansas City, Mo. –Brian Christenson runs Red Line Tow in Linwood Kan., the same town where he serves as the mayor. Between jobs, though, he also helps the Car Santa, a man known as Terry Franz.

“For fifteen years I’ve been repairing vehicles that people donate to Cars 4 Heroes,” says Christenson. “I see first-hand how these vehicles change people’s lives.”

One veteran who received a car from the Car Santa contacted Christenson to nominate him for a Pay It Forward prize. The only catch is, he didn’t want to go on camera. So, in his place, he asked if Christenson would.

Christenson and Franz met up at the FOX4 studio for what the Car Santa thought was an interview about the need for donations. Instead, he was gifted a $400 gift card for his dedication to the Linwood community.
