Five Transported to Area Hospitals After Serious Crash on Route 13 in Cortlandville
Around 10:30 in the morning on Tuesday, July 23, emergency personnel responded to a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 13 and the McDonald’s parking lot. Cortlandville Fire Chief Mike Biviano told X101 News there was no entrapment as a result of the crash, but 5 people were transported to hospital.
Binghamton Man Found Guilty of Rape in 1st Degree
A Binghamton man was found guilty on the charge of Rape in the 1st degree in court on Thursday. According to the Broome County District Attorney, in June 2023, Willis Bickham, Jr. took a child under the age of 13 years old into an apartment on Green Street and proceeded to have intercourse with her. Bickham was 40 years old at the time. He was also found guilty of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

Endwell Man Charged After Drugs, Guns Found in Binghamton Apartment
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says an Endwell man is charged after search warrants were executed in Binghamton and the Town of Union. According to the Task Force, the first warrant was executed Wednesday at 341 Main Street, Apartment 3RE in Binghamton. A .22-caliber revolver, a 9mm handgun, a high-capacity 9mm magazine, approximately 5.2 ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine, over $5,500 in suspected drug proceeds, and other paraphernalia were all found. An additional search warrant was executed in the Town of Union, where an additional approximate $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds was found.

A Binghamton man was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun into the apartment of his former girlfriend on Friday, July 17th in Johnson City.
