Little Falls battles Monticello

The Little Falls VFW baseball team hosted Monticello in a doubleheader Wednesday, July 10. Littkle Falls lost the first game 3-2. Prescott Romaine pitched all seven innings, throwing six strikeouts, allowing three errors and six hits.. Romaine also led the team at the plate, going 2-2 and hitting two doubles. John Ahlin had the only other hit in the game.

Little Falls won the second game, winning 6-5. The starting pitcher Ben Anderson threw three strikweouts in four innings. Charlie Zwillining pitched one inning, not allowing any runs or hits. He also went 3-3 at the plate with a double. Izaak Kalis went 2-3, followed by Nolan Sams with 1-2. Others with hits were Nick Sprang, Evan LeMieur and Ahlin.

Little Falls on the road against Brainerd

The Little Falls VFW baseball team traveled to Brainerd Monday, July 8. Little Falls won the first game 4-3. John Ahlin threw five strikeouts in seven innings and allowed three errors. Charlie Zwilling went 3-3 at the plate. Those who hit a double were Prescott Romaine and Payton Bartos.

Brainerd beat Little Falls in the second game, 2-0. Tay Heier pitched four innings, throwing two strikeouts. The only hit was was made by Connor Neu with a single.
