HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - The Horry County Coroner’s Office released the name of an Aynor man who died in a crash early Sunday morning. Jared Marlowe, 20, died at the scene of the crash in the Galivants Ferry area after suffering multiple traumatic injuries, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

Arrest made in Myrtle Beach Waffle House attack
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A man accused of attacking a Waffle House employee last month in Myrtle Beach is now in custody. Documents obtained by WMBF News state Myrtle Beach police arrested 25-year-old Michael Petty on Sunday. He’s facing multiple charges including assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Surfside Beach vacation rental closed after structural issues, report states
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A recent report is spelling trouble for a now-empty vacation rental building in Surfside Beach. An inspection report, obtained by WMBF News for the building states, that the fire department found structural deficiencies in the stairwells while doing a routine inspection of the Sandfiddler along South Ocean Blvd.
