We’ll heat up a little through midweek with average temperatures, but there will be a heat index near 105. Afternoon storm chances continue into the weekend ahead of a cold front. The front should move through Saturday evening and take the storms with it. Look for a dryer, more comfortable Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Coastal Carolina’s distinctive, “Surf Turf” teal field will feature the logo for the South Carolina State Election Commission this season.
