Woman ordered to stand trial for murder of Wrightstown man
A woman was ordered to stand trial Thursday, July 18, for the murder of a 72-year-old man in Wrightstown Township in October. Meghan Macklin, 46, of Philadelphia, was charged in March with the murder of Richard Scott MacFarland in his home at 55 Apple Hill Road. She was taken into custody in Tennessee after fleeing the area in the victim’s car, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.
Fire erupts inside Dow facility in Bristol, Bucks County
Firefighters responded to a fire inside a Bucks County chemical plant on Friday morning.The fire happened around 10:30 a.m. in the Dow Research & Development facility at 310 George Patterson Blvd. adjacent to Dow's Bristol Croydon Operations site.The fire was brought under control at 1:20 p.m.Company officials say there is no impact to the community.
