CSPD identifies more than 100 gangs in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Springs Police have identified 911 gang members making up 109 gangs in Colorado Springs alone. Colorado Springs Police Lieutenant Bob Cummings told KRDO 13 Investigates they categorize a gang as a group of three or more people committing crimes with a similar dress or moniker. The biggest gang CSPD mentioned to KRDO 13 Investigates has 121 active members.
3 older adults escape burning home unharmed in Deer Trail
Three people in their 80s were able to escape a burning home in Deer Trail early Friday morning. According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the fire broke out about 5:20 a.m. Crews rushed to the fire in the 300 block of 1st Street. When they arrived, flames had engulfed the home. It was destroyed. The damage was confined to one home. No neighboring homes were damaged. What caused the fire is being investigated. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Victim Assistance is working with the three residents who have been displaced.
Officer injured in attempt to stop stolen truck, driver gets away after pursuit into Denver
GOLDEN, Colo. — A Golden Police officer is recovering after being injured by the driver of a stolen truck Friday morning. The officer was struck when police from Golden and deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office tried to recover a stolen Ford F-250 that was in the parking lot of the Home Depot at West Colfax Avenue and Highway 6, Golden Police said.
Denver police investigating fatal shooting
Denver police are investigating a shooting that ended with one man dead. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of West Eighth Avenue and Kalamath Street — in the Lincoln Park neighborhood — around 9 p.m. Friday, according to a social media post by the Denver Police Department.

Saturday, we'll stay dry and warm through most of the afternoon, with scattered storms pushing into the front range by 5 or 6 p.m. We'll watch for in and out storms through the evening, with showers becoming more isolated as they push eastward, into the northern plains. Denver’s public housing authority just took its first big step away from natural gas
