The Denver Broncos allowed an average of 137.1 rushing yards per game to opposing offenses last year, representing the third-worst average in the NFL. Resident fatally shoots home intruder near University of Denver
A startled resident shot and killed a man who was intruding in their apartment early Sunday morning, according to the Denver Police Department. The shooting happened near the 2300 block of east Evans Avenue in south Denver, at the One Observatory Park apartment complex near the University of Denver. An initial call of a shooting came in around 1 a.m., according to a police department spokesperson. Police officials said a "surprised" resident shot the intruder inside their home. The man who intruded on the home was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Police officials added the resident who shot the man is cooperating during the active investigation.

Colorado man accused of breaking into apartment mailboxes in three cities
A man who forged keys out of silverware in order to steal mail from apartment mailboxes has been indicted on federal fraud charges.Adam Christopher Turner, 40, was arrested in May and indicted late last month by a federal grand jury. The Colorado Springs resident is accused of using his fake keys to access "cluster boxes" at apartment buildings in three cities. His break-ins have been traced back to February 2023, according to details in his indictment.Turner was first arrested November 12, 2023 by Lone Tree PD after he used stolen credit cards at several businesses. Denver Man Charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder in Assault on Elderly Mother
A Denver man has been taken into custody for the alleged assault on his mother, which has since escalated to a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Lynard Edward Hunter, 58, called 911 on Friday night to report that he had attacked his 77-year-old mother at their North Little Egypt Road residence, as confirmed by authorities.
