Boston, MA Avison Young has negotiated a new 6,662 s/f lease for Chaos, a leading developer of 3D visualization technology for architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, and media and entertainment, at 2 Oliver St. to serve as its local office. The 6,662 s/f lease represents Chaos’ move from two non-connected floors at 71 Summer St. to accommodate the tech company’s growth. Chaos will occupy a portion of the 10th floor. PCA completes design for renovation of Saltie Girl in the Back Bay
Architecture, planning and interiors firm PCA, Inc. completed design for the recent renovations of the award-winning seafood restaurant, Saltie Girl in the Back Bay neighborhood. The design expresses restaurateur Kathy Sidell’s Saltie Girl brand and her lifelong love for the ocean. “Growing up on the East Coast on a sailboat with my dad gave me a deep affinity for the saltiness of the sea, and for enjoying its fresh, local seafood and cuisine,” Sidell said.

Triple-A Worcester: The WooSox lost to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders on Thursday night 7-2. Grant Gambrell threw six solid innings for the WooSox only allowing two hits and striking out four. However, the Railriders went off for seven runs in the seventh inning, after the WooSox were up 2-0, after a home run by Bobby Dalbec and a RBI single by Eddy Alvarez. The Sox could not answer as the 7-2 stayed the same until the end of the game.

Groveland Police Dept. Promotes L’Italien to Sergeant
Groveland Police Officer Chris L’Italien was promoted to the rank of sergeant at the start of the month. L’Italien joined the department in 2015 as a reserve officer and dispatcher, following his graduation from the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Training Alliance Reserve/Intermittent Police Academy. He joined the department as a full-time officer in 2017 after graduating from the Northern Essex Community College Police Academy.
Pentucket Bank Charitable Foundation Gives $12,500 to Lawrence DyeWorks Redevelopment
The Pentucket Bank Charitable Foundation recently donated $12,500 to Lawrence Community Works. The money will contribute to Lawrence Community Works’ Capital Campaign for the transformation of the DyeWorks mill building into the hub of a new neighborhood in the historic North Canal Mill District of Lawrence. The redevelopment of DyeWorks will include a new, expanded home for LCW’s successful Movement City Youth Program; full-service, culturally competent, Latinx-owned grocery store that would eliminate a food desert; and new outpost of the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center providing an urgent care facility, preventive health services and a low-cost pharmacy for city residents.

Is it just me, or do these newly installed benches look familiar?. Last Friday, benches made of the former BSA Green Staircase were installed at the new courtyard at the 112 Southampton Shelter. JKhoory Design Studio redesigned the outdoor space to create a place for residents to focus on health and wellness by offering a place of refuge, which opened last November. Located in the Mass and Cass area of Boston, what was previously a contaminated MBTA site is now a functional area for shelter residents to exercise, play, meditate, and enjoy peacefully being outside. Support for physical and mental health is especially vital for those living in shelters, and the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) has been supporting the development of outdoor spaces such as this to be an alternative to the streets.

New study finds bacteria in a third of tattoo ink samples
BOSTON - If you're thinking of getting a tattoo, a new study shows there's some concern about the safety of tattoo ink.Tattooing uses needles to deposit ink directly into the skin, so it's important for all of the supplies to be sterile. In a new study, researchers tested 75 tattoo and permanent makeup ink samples, in sealed containers, and found that a third of them contained bacteria, including some harmful strains.The risk is low but it's real. According to the researchers, up to 6% of people experience an infection after being tattooed, and this study suggests there should be tighter regulations on tattoo ink.
