Interim presidents tapped to fill vacancies at UF, FAMU
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Interim presidents have been named to two State University System of Florida vacancies. The University of Florida and Florida A&M University presidents recently announced their resignations. Last week, University of Florida President Ben Sasse announced his departure from the school due to his wife's recent health issues. FAMU President Larry Robinson also announced his resignation last week after FAMU’s controversial acceptance and then rejection of a $237 million donation.

Florida man allegedly stole from Dallas funeral home, Georgia police say
DALLAS, Ga. - Police in Dallas are looking for a Florida man they believe stole a medical stretcher from one of the funeral homes in Dallas. Dallas police officers responded to a vehicle break-in on May 6 at 309 Hardee Street, the location of Benson’s Funeral Home. During the investigation, officers discovered that a medical stretcher had been stolen from one of the funeral home’s vehicles.
