( KRON ) — A 31-year-old man with an active gun violence restraining order was arrested last week on a number of charges related to illegally possessing weapons, the Livermore Police Department announced on Tuesday.

On June 25 just after 5 p.m., Livermore police officers stopped a Kia Sportage on Las Positas Road near First Street for a vehicle code violation. The driver, later identified as Bradley Grassechi, 31, had a suspended vehicle registration due to lack of insurance, LPD said.

Police learned that Grassechi had an active gun violence restraining order that prohibits him from possessing firearms and other weapons. During a search of the Kia, an unregistered loaded pistol was located, Livermore PD said.

A search warrant was obtained for his residence, where officers found an unserialized short-barreled rifle and ammunition, police said.

Grassechi was arrested on several charges including:

    • possession of a firearm while prohibited
    • possession of a concealed loaded firearm
    • possession of ammunition
    • possession of a short-barreled rifle
    • possession of a ghost gun
    • possession of a large-capacity magazine
    • possession of an assault rifle
    • possession of narcotics for sale
