( KRON ) — Four teenagers were arrested last week in connection to a shooting in Livermore where shots were fired at a victim's car with his family inside, the Livermore Police Department announced Thursday.

A victim was driving a car with his sister and mother inside after leaving a gym on Railroad Avenue at around 11 p.m. on July 15. The driver called Livermore police to report that he was being followed by a black truck, according to authorities.

At the intersection of Park and North I streets, people inside the black truck opened fire at the victims, police said, before fleeing the scene. Arriving officers found the family uninjured.

Police investigators located the black truck involved in the shooting at a Tracy residence and the suspects were identified, Livermore PD said. Eighteen-year-old Angel Nietokalandrely, of Tracy, and a 16-year-old male from Livermore were arrested on July 16. Two days later, 18-year-old Damien Henriquez and a 17-year-old male, both from Livermore, were arrested.

Authorities located and recovered a 9 mm handgun, LPD said.

According to police, one of the victims and the suspects were familiar with each other, and the shooting is believed to be gang-related.

The case was turned over to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office for charging.
