Silvis kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month with a free, family-friendly festival full of culture, music and community at the Hispanic Heritage Month Festival on Saturday, September 14 from 12 – 8 p.m. on Hero Street in downtown Silvis.

A kids’ zone filled with giant games, a soft play area, magic shows, balloon artists and face painting will keep the kids entertained while car fans can check out classic rides from the Quad Cities Latin Persuasion Car Club .

Enjoy food from a variety of vendors and find treasures from local artisans. The Dietz Soliz Band will keep the crowds dancing and the Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico will perform.

Local leaders, including Silvis Mayor Matt Carter, Rock Island County Board Chairperson Richard Quijas and Rock Island County Board Member Luis Moreno will be on hand to share their visions for the community.
