SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. -- Residents in the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County and the City of Big Bear Lake now have access to increased financial support for spay and neuter services, thanks to the Pet Over Population Coalition (POPCO).

This initiative aims to help curb the issue of pet overpopulation by making these essential services more affordable for pet owners.

POPCO's program offers vouchers to subsidize the cost of spay and neuter procedures. Pet owners can receive $100 vouchers for cats and $200 vouchers for dogs. This financial assistance can be obtained by filling out an online form at https://bit.ly/SpayNeuterVouchers, calling POPCO at (888) 767-2550, or emailing info@popco-inc.org.

In addition to POPCO’s efforts, San Bernardino County Animal Care is allocating additional funding to provide spay and neuter vouchers specifically for unowned community cats. This initiative focuses on reducing the population of stray and feral cats, which often face challenging living conditions and contribute to the broader issue of pet overpopulation.

For more information and to request a voucher, residents can visit the provided online form, contact POPCO directly by phone, or send an email.

By participating in these programs, community members can play a crucial role in managing the local pet population and promoting the well-being of animals throughout the county.
