Baseball: Blue Devils' season ended by Edgewood

A close game turned into a 10-1 rout, as Edgewood ended the Lodi baseball team’s 2024 campaign on Wednesday, May 29.

The Crusaders scored five runs in the fifth inning to break open a 1-1 game, before adding four more runs in the sixth to win a regional final game going away.

Held to six hits, Lodi tied the game in the top of the fourth, as Kale Schneider crossed the plate. He was driven in by Eli Schneider, who went 2-for-3 to lead the Blue Devils. Kale Schneider, Mason Breunig, Dakota Franklin and Xander Jackson also had hits for Lodi, who finished the year 16-10 overall.

Eli and Kale Schneider and Matt Lincicum pitched for the Blue Devils, as Eli Schneider struck out six and walked three in three and a third innings.
