    CNA classes for all to be offered in Lodi

    LODI, Wis. -- Starting Aug. 19, the Healthcare Workforce Training Institute announced Wednesday it will offer nurse aide classes at the Lodi Education Center.

    The HWTI said the classes will work to increase and advance the healthcare workforce through quality, accessible certifications, and trainings. The state-approved nurse aide class provide students with the opportunity to quickly become a certified nursing assistant and receive classroom, lab, and clinical time while gaining hands-on experience with patients.

    After successfully completing the class and passing the competency exams, the HWTI said students will be able to work as a CNA in a healthcare setting of their choice, or obtain pre-requisite credit for a variety of healthcare degrees.

    The HWTI said the two-week course will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the work week, through Aug. 30. The classes are open to anyone ages 15 and older. Those interested can register for the class or learn more information at www.healthcareworkforcetraining.com .

    The HWTI said cost to attend is $535, which includes all textbooks and printed materials. Attendees who cannot pay the fee should visit www.wiscaregiver.com for a list of skilled nursing providers willing to help pay for the class and certification testing. High school career and technical education grant funds may also help pay for the class.
