Former NFL, Raiders player arrested after police find his missing son

After going missing for two weeks, the son of former Raiders defensive lineman Daniel Muir has been found and his father is now in custody.

According to Matt Adams of FOX59 , Muir's son, Bryson Muir, was found "safe and well" at a compound in Logansport, according to Indiana State Police, and has been released into the custody of the Cass County Department of Child Services.

Bryson was last seen on June 16, when his grandmother reported to police that he had a black eye and a busted lip. The child was not seen again for two weeks and after his parents arranged to bring Bryson in to speak with police, they backed out. Both were persons of interest in the investigation.

After finding the child, arrest warrants were issued for both of Bryson's parents, and both have since been taken into custody. Daniel Muir is facing preliminary charges of domestic battery (misdemeanor) and obstruction of justice (felony), while Kristen Muir faces a preliminary charge of obstruction of justice.

Bryson was found after a SWAT team raid on a compound owned by the Servant Leader's Foundation, a nonprofit religious group.

The child's grandmother told police she believed Bryson had been "brainwashed" by his parents and the religious group to which they belonged. She also told authorities Bryson said his father was responsible for his injuries.

Muir appeared in 10 games for the Raiders in 2013, the final year of his career. He also spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets.
