LL Flooring announces 94 stores to close. Here's which ones are in NY

Yonkers’ LL Flooring store — formerly known as Lumber Liquidators — is not among the 94 LL Flooring stores announced for closure in 30 states, including four in New York state.

The company's list of site-closing sales said the New York locations announced for closure are in Medford, New Hartford, Staten Island, and Westbury.

The Yonkers store, which remains open, is at 132 Saw Mill River Road. Stores in Dutchess County's Wappingers Falls, Orange County's Middletown, and in the Bronx are also unaffected by the list of closings.

LL Flooring, formerly Lumber Liquidators, is $110 million in debt

Richmond-Virginia-based LL Flooring Holdings has started reorganization proceedings in Delaware’s U.S. Bankruptcy Court, saying the company is nearly $110 million in long-term debt.

“Today’s step is intended to provide LL Flooring with additional time and financial flexibility as we reduce our physical footprint and close certain stores while pursuing a going-concern sale of the rest of our business,” Charles Tyson, LL Flooring president and chief executive officer, said in an Aug. 11 statement. “As we move through this process, we are committed to continuing to serve our valued customers, and to working seamlessly with our vendors and partners. I am appreciative of our associates for their ongoing hard work in providing the best experience for our customers.”

The company has more than 300 stores around the country.
