Here's why you're going to be seeing two lohud Super 11 football teams going forward

It was time.

Picking the Super 11 had become a chore. Getting all of the next level talent competing for the local CHSFL powerhouses on the list while making sure that Section 1 was properly represented was impossible. The list of outstanding players who did not make the cut was growing too fast.

We had several debates and conversations over the summer.

High school football: Meet the 2024 lohud Super 11 finalists

Super 11 has been around for nearly three decades so we didn't want to rush into any changes. Ultimately, we decided to deliver two separate lists. On Tuesday, we'll unveil the lohud Section 1 Super 11. On Wednesday, we'll post the lohud Private School Super 11.

We'll be releasing the 2024 Super 11 picks hourly both days.

There's some additional work involved, but we believe it's necessary to name all of the players who rightfully deserve the honor. We're also confident that with the additional flexibility we have spotlighted 22 of the best players in the Lower Hudson Valley.
