Iowa City woman arrested for OWI after allegedly hitting cars and a building
An Iowa City woman who reportedly wanted to keep driving despite hitting two parked cars and a building was arrested for OWI Saturday afternoon. Police say 64-year-old Brenda Enlow of Highway 6 East was in the 1800 block of Lower Muscatine Road when the incident occurred just after 12:30pm. At the McDonalds, she allegedly hit two parked cars and the building. It reportedly took employees from the fast-food restaurant to take Enlow’s keys away from her to keep her from driving away.
North Liberty man charged in domestic assault case
A North Liberty man was arrested Saturday after assaulting his live-in partner over the noise her children were making. The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:45am in the Beaver Kreek Center apartment shared by 42-year-old Curtis Bell and the victim. The two allegedly got into an argument over the woman’s kids being too loud. Bell reportedly held the woman down, causing pain and fear for her safety. He also allegedly threatened to kill her during the assault.
