Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash., will host many of the top amateur golfers in the world this week for the 57th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship. Hosted by Washington Golf, the championship will be played from July 23-26, 2024. Having previously hosted the event in 2017 and 2021, this marks the third time the championship has been held at Chambers Bay.

Rainiers fans were treated to a real rarity on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium, as Emerson Hancock pitched a complete game shutout. Hancock went the distance on 105 pitches (74 strikes). He allowed quite a few hits – there were nine – but he limited the walks to just two. What really got him through was his knack for getting double plays: he induced three double play grounders, including inning-enders in both the eighth and the ninth.

Tacoma got in front in the first inning as Leo Rivas stole third and came around to score on a throwing error by the catcher. They added on in the fourth on an RBI single from Seby Zavala to take a 2-0 lead.
