Hedgesville High School evacuated due to threat

HEDGESVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 12:02 PM 3/21/24: The school was thoroughly searched using bomb-sniffing K-9’s and the all-clear was received at 11:35 a.m. from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department; students and staff have been allowed back in the building.

Buses were deployed to provide shelter to students in the cold weather.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE (9:50 a.m.): Hedgesville High School has been evacuated due to a threat. Law enforcement is present at HHS and is handling the situation. An update will be provided when available.
