    What’s happening during day nine of the State Fair of West Virginia

    FAIRLEA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The State Fair of West Virginia continues on Friday, August 16, with a lineup of exciting activities and entertainment for all ages.

    The gates open at 8:00 AM, with carnival rides starting at 11:00 AM and the West Virginia Lottery kicking off at noon.

    Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a variety of shows and events.

    The entertainment schedule includes the FirstEnergy Live Wire Demo at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Catherine Hickland’s shows at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 4:30 PM, and the Hot Glass Academy showcasing their skills at 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:30 PM, and 6:00 PM.

    The Live Shark Encounter Show and the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show will be held at various times throughout the day.

    Country music fans can catch Caden Glover at 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM, followed by a Q&A session with the Barnwood Builders at 2:30 PM.

    The Barnwood Builders will also be available for a meet and greet from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

    In the West Virginia Building, visitors can participate in a cooking demonstration at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

    At 2:00 PM, the Pepperoni Roll Contest and Mason Jar Decorating Contest will take place.

    The day in this building will conclude with an Unclaimed Property Auction at 5:00 PM.

    The Open Horse Show begins at 2:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM.

    The day will also feature a Draft Horse Pull at 9:00 AM in the Grandstand, followed by a performance by Oliver Anthony at 8:00 PM.
