Traffic stops leads to multiple arrested

BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On August 31, 2024, Trooper M.S. Hall was patrolling the Madison area of Boone County when he conducted a traffic stop on a gray Volkswagen Jetta. Upon speaking with the driver, identified as 18-year-old Gregory Daniels of Northwest, Ohio, Trooper Hall detected an odor of marijuana.

Trooper Hall removed the two passengers, identified as 20-year-old Niare Clipper of Barberton, Ohio and 18-year-old Antoine Dortch of Hallie, Ohio, from the vehicle.

Senior Trooper A.R. Workman and K-9 Kali arrived on the scene and conducted an exterior sweep of the car, during which K-9 Kali alerted to the presence of illegal drugs.

A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded approximately 11.84 grams of suspected fentanyl and $6,332 in U.S. currency.

The three men were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and conspiracy. They were transported to Southwestern Regional Jail to await arraignment. This investigation remains active and ongoing.
