PUTNAM COUNTY , WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is facing charges after she attacked her father and son when told to leave because she wasn’t allowed in the home.

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, at approximately 1:09 AM, Putnam County 911 received a call about a disturbance at 42 Cedar Circle in Scott Depot, West Virginia.

Deputy Fletcher from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and met with two victims. They reported that Amanda Ashley had broken into the house and was in the basement.

When confronted by one victim, Amanda ran outside and got into a physical fight with him. The second victim tried to help his father, who had recently undergone neck surgery.

During the altercation, Amanda hit one victim and knocked his phone from his hand while yelling at him. The man attempted to record the incident for documentation and safety.

When the second victim heard the noise, he came outside to assist his father, but Amanda struck him, leaving scratches on his arm that drew blood. The second victim chose not to seek medical assistance for his injury.

Amanda had attacked both the father and brother, causing injuries to their arms. Photographic evidence of the victim’s arm was taken. Amanda had previously lived at this address, listed on her West Virginia driver’s license, and had not been formally evicted; she was just advised not to enter the home without permission.

As a result, Deputy Fletcher has charged Amanda Ashley with two counts of domestic battery.
