Black Man Experiencing Homelessness Stabbed To Death By USC Frat Member

A University of Southern California student has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a Black man experiencing homelessness on the campus' Greek Row in Los Angeles.

On Monday (June 17), police found 27-year-old Xavier Cerf fatally stabbed in an alleyway at roughly 8:15 p.m., per KTLA News .

Cerf, who was experiencing homelessness, encountered USC student Ivan Gallegos , 19, and two of his friends while he was allegedly burglarizing cars by the Lambda Chi Alpha and Delta Tau Delta fraternity house.

The group confronted Cerf, and at some point, Gallegos allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times. Cerf was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gallegos, a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, alleged that he was acting in self-defense and claimed that Cerf told him that he was armed with a gun.

The USC student was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently being held on a $2 million bail.
