Killer Mike Won't Be Charged Following His Arrest At The 2024 Grammys

Killer Mike will not face charges after he was arrested outside of the 2024 Grammy Awards.

According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, June 26, prosecutors from the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office said they do not plan to file charges against the Grammy award-winner following an alleged confrontation with a security guard. He attended a hearing with the city attorney where he agreed to do community service with a non-profit organization of his choice. As part of their agreement, the City Attorney's Office also warned that they could reopen the case if he gets into trouble in the future.

Killer Mike was apprehended outside of the Crypto.com Arena back in February after he allegedly got into an altercation with a security guard. He was detained and later released from custody. The incident occurred right after he won three awards for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance at the ceremony before the live broadcast. In a statement , Mike explained that the situation happened while he and his team had trouble finding an entrance to the awards show.

"I greatly appreciate the concern and support, but I am better than OK," Mike said. "As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter. We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing.
