The Los Angeles Lakers made NBA history on Thursday, drafting Bronny James, the son of league superstar LeBron James. Bronny was selected with the No. 55 pick in the second round. The incoming rookie posted a two-word message on social media sharing his honest take on the opportunity.

"Beyond blessed," said James via Instagram.

The 19-year-old prospect, Bronny, not only joins the Lakers but also his father, LeBron James, in the same organization. This heartwarming union marks the first time in NBA history that a father-son duo will be playing for the same team.

While many view the Lakers' action as nepotism, Bronny proved valuable during the NBA draft combine. He seems highly excited about a chance to live out his dreams in Hollywood.

Bronny will likely have a limited role on a champion-aspiring Lakers squad, but he can pick the brains of many players and coaches with elite IQs like Lebron, JJ Redick, and D'Angelo Russell.

He's known for his ability to catch-and-shoot, and defend at a high level on the perimeter, which could be valuable for the Lakers as he becomes more comfortable in the NBA.
