It’s been the worst kept secret for weeks, but now four-star safety Hylton Stubbs has officially decommitted from the USC Trojans .

It has been known for quite some time that the University of Florida has been pushing hard to flip the Florida Native, and while he has yet to officially commit to the Gators , all indications are that that is where he will end up.

While the timing of this stings after just losing both Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson just a week ago, the reality is that from a positional standpoint, this is one of the deepest rooms for USC with a lot of eligibility (seven DBs on the roster with multiple years of eligibility left), including a commitment from Julian Lewis’ high school teammate Shamar Arnoux just yesterday.

However, moments after the official announcement, head coach Lincoln Riley had a savage and hilarious response.

This is the known tweet signaling an incoming commitment. USC has known for a while that Stubbs would be decommitting, but Riley comes right out with an incoming commitment announcement immediately following the public news.

Who Could Be The Next USC Trojans Commitment?

There have been a few names that are trending in the direction of committing to the Trojans.

    Carde Smith – OL

After his official visit to USC this past weekend, the 6’6, 300-pound offensive lineman promptly decommitted from Auburn and has immediately been linked to the Trojans. On3 has given it a 59.4% chance that he will commit to the Men of Troy. This would be a huge boost the the offensive line, figuratively and literally.

    Corey Simms – WR

The four-star wide receiver out of Missouri is also trending towards a commitment with the USC Trojans. He took his OV with USC a few weeks ago, and most recently visited his home school of Missouri. He plans to announce his commitment on June 30th, and On3 gives it a 65.2% chance that he chooses the Trojans.

    Noah Mikhail – LB

The 6’2, 210-pound linebacker out of La Verne, CA has been a prospect that USC fans have been pushing for. He has been trending towards Oregon for most of his recruitment, and according to On3 , they are still the favorite, but USC has a fighting chance and a really good shot at landing the four-star local prospect. If he is not the commitment that Riley was alluding to, I would expect him to be the one that they will pursue the most before he announces on the 30th.

    Riley Pettijohn – LB

Pettijohn is another name that has been mentioned with USC but the program hasn’t been seen as a true contender. However, it is picking up steam that USC is actually in the mix and has a shot at getting a commitment. This would be a huge commitment for LB Coach Matt Entz.
