The New York Times reports this historic moment marks the culmination of years of speculation and the realization of a dream shared by the Laker’s leader. However, Bronny joining his father’s team subsequently sparked a debate about “nepotism.”

The 19-year-old was the 55th overall pick and will sport gold and purple alongside his pops in the next NBA season. Bronny went into cardiac arrest during a USC practice game in July 2023. However, he eventually made a full recovery.
