Stephen A. Smith Reveals New Nicknames Bronny James Should Call LeBron James

After much speculation upon if and where Bronny James would be selected in the 2024 NBA draft, the former USC Trojans guard was chosen No. 55 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. This now unites Bronny with his father, LeBron James, as the elder James enters his 22nd season.

It was reported by ESPN on June 19 that Bronny had only elected to work out with two teams ahead of the draft - the Phoenix Suns and the Lakers.

As a reaction to the selection of Bronny James by the Lakers, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith compiled the top five nicknames Bronny should call LeBron on Friday morning's airing of First Take.

In Smith's comical ranking of possible nicknames for Bronny to use, he listed the names "Pops," "Old Man," "Bron Bron," "Two-Three" and "Captain" landing at the fifth spot.

As Bronny enters the Lakers organization, there will be significant media attention surrounding almost everything he does and whether he can live up to the hype of the James' family lore established by his father.
