NFL Legend Blasts Bronny James' NBA Future in Fiery Commentary

Ever since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny James with the No. 55 overall pick on Thursday, everyone in the sporting world has made their opinion known about LeBron James pairing up with his oldest son.

Some are big fans of the fact that LeBron and Bronny are the first father-son duo to play with each other in NBA history. Others think that it is a bit of a stretch that James, who would not be drafted if he weren't the son of an NBA legend, was selected over more deserving players.

Count former NFL icon Le'Veon Bell in the latter of those two groups.

On social media, Bell quote-tweeted a picture that is going around comparing Bronny's stats to one of his USC teammates who went undrafted.

“'Potential' goes a far way doesn’t it," Bell said.

It's a fair point to make, since there's no chance that James would have been drafted had he been given a different name. We will see how much playing time Bronny gets as a rookie, and if he can get into the Lakers rotation. If he doesn't more questions will be asked about his place in the league going forward.
