The Los Angeles Lakers have been featured in numerous NBA free-agency rumors over the past few weeks. While that isn't likely to stop anytime soon, it appears the storied Western Conference franchise has also kept an eye on the trade market around the league.

The Lakers, who've recently been linked to NBA free agents Klay Thompson and Jonas Valančiūnas, are reportedly interested in acquiring Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez.

On Sunday, Yahoo! Sports' Jake Fischer described Lopez as "one of the primary options on the Lakers’ board of hopeful acquisitions."

"In addition to Klay Thompson, sources told @YahooSports the Lakers have an eye on trading for Brook Lopez," Fischer posted on X.

Lopez, 36, has a brief history with the Lakers having played for L.A. during the 2017-18 NBA season. He averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 74 appearances during his lone season with the Lakers.

After leaving L.A., Lopez landed with the Bucks.

He's played the past six seasons in Milwaukee and helped lead the team to a title in 2021.

At 7-foot-1, Lopez could fit in L.A. as a traditional center in lineups with and without Anthony Davis on the court.

His combination of above-average rim protection and ability to knock down 3-pointers as a career 34.9 percent shooter could create intriguing matchups with both Davis and LeBron James on the floor.

Should the Lakers take a swing on the former All-Star big man?
