Four-star Winton Woods Cincinnati edge Justin Hill is set to announce his commitment on Wednesday, July 3, where he will pick from the Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans and Alabama Crimson Tide. The report was posted on X by Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Hill is the nation’s No. 72 overall prospect, the seventh-best edge rusher, and the No. 6 player in the state of Ohio according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Buckeyes have a 93.1-percent chance to land the four-star talent from Ohio.

Per 247Sports, Hill had 36 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles in his junior campaign, as well as 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and one interception as a sophomore.

USC needs high-end and high-impact defensive players such as Hill, but it can’t be denied that Ohio State has been pulling in more of these kinds of recruits than the Trojans have in recent years. One wonders when, and how, USC will be able to change the equation in the recruiting world against its prime Big Ten competitors.
