NBA free agency is off to a very active start, as most of the top names have already made decisions. While there are a few remaining players that could switch teams before next season begins, many of the big moves have already taken place.

Along with players who just recently hit free agency, there is also a group of former NBA players who have been looking to reenter the league for a while. This includes former NBA lottery pick Stanley Johnson, who has been out of the league since the 2022-23 season, and has reportedly sign a contract with Anadolu Efes of the Euroleague (via Michael Scotto of HoopsHype).

Johnson was drafted 8th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2015 NBA Draft, but never lived up to the expectations he had as a lottery pick. Spending four seasons with Detroit, Johnson then bounced around the NBA quite a bit, making brief stops with the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and New Orleans Pelicans.

There have been reports in recent years that Johnson had been looking to make an NBA comeback, and even worked out for different teams last month.

It seems these workouts did not lead to NBA offers for Johnson, as the 28 year old forward will head one of the best teams in the Euroleague. A very promising prospect when selected by Detroit, Johnson has averaged just 6.2 points per game for his NBA career in just 19.8 minutes per game.

As for Johnson's Euroleague team, they will be getting a very solid addition.
