UCLA football secured their 15th 2025 commitment on Thursday. Jace Brown, a high school teammate of fellow commit Madden Iamaleava , announced that he would join the Bruins for next season. UCLA’s recruiting of Brown was short and sweet. They made him an offer at the beginning of June, hosted an official visit on June 21st, and by Independence Day he had made up his mind.

Brown is the nation’s No. 89 rated wide receiver and No. 55 overall prospect in the state of California for the 2025 class, per the 247Sports rankings.

The Downey, California native had received offers from 11 other schools including Arizona, Kansas, Minnesota, Utah, and Washington State. UCLA is the only school he took an OV with.

“They were a great choice for me because they hit all the marks and really made it felt like home,” Brown told 247Sports. “The program is like a brotherhood and everyone is connected.

“Coach Erik Frazier and coach DeShaun Foster played a big role in that they see me as a receiver that can make the tough catches consistently and really being a true X wide receiver.”

As a Warren High School Bear junior, Brown caught 46 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games.

247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins has seen the 6-foot-4, 200-pounder several times. Here is what he wrote:

“Brown has established himself as one of the top receiver prospects in the West region,” Biggins wrote in the scouting report earlier this off-season. “He has been dominant on the 7v7 circuit and is a really tough matchup because of his size, hands, body control, and ability to get behind a defense. He’s definitely a guy who’s trending up in our eyes and has the talent to play for just about any program out West.”
