    LeBron James' Wife Had Crucial Role In Team USA Decision

    Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is set to participate in the 2024 Olympics, but before that, Team USA will play the Canadian national team in an exhibition matchup on July 10 at 10:30 pm. ET. Prior to joining the team, the four-time NBA MVP was waiting on his wife, Savannah, for clearance to spend the summer chasing another gold medal.

    A recent report by Tim Bontemps on X revealed that James was "all-in" after receiving his wife's approval. The 20-time NBA All-Star is now headed to Paris, France, looking to secure his fourth Olympic medal after having earned two gold medals and one bronze in his three Olympic appearances.

    The 39-year-old is fresh off of his 21st season in the league, where he averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds.

    James joined a roster full of stars from the NBA landscape, like Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Anthony Edwards.

    The four-time NBA champion is the oldest player on the roster, followed by Curry, who is not so far behind at 36. This is one of the most experienced teams that has ever been assembled for Team USA heading to the Olympics.

    This team has established veterans with guys like James, Curry, and Durant, along with some younger NBA stars like Tyrese Haliburton, Edwards, and Tatum.

    James has hinted at a potential retirement in the next few seasons, so this may be his final Olympic appearance. The 6-foot-9 point forward recently signed a max contract extension with the Lakers, inking a two-year, $101.35 million deal.
