    By Cole Sullivan,

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht looked more comfortable than ever in his first game of the Las Vegas Summer League, despite dropping the game to the Houston Rockets . The Lakers have now fallen to 0-4 in summer league play, but the Tennessee product has continued to progress and improve every single game he plays.

Knecht finished the game as the highest scorer with 25 points on 50% shooting from the field. He added six rebounds, four assists, and shot 5-11 from behind the arc.

This is exactly what Lakers coaches and fans were waiting to see. Knecht is letting loose, and you can sense the confidence in his game growing. Getting up 18 shots, playing 30 minutes, and finding his groove while being the go-to guy on the roster.

The biggest thing about the summer league is seeing players continue to grow. Wins and losses are always added bonus points in the summer league, but ultimately the end goal is for players like Knecht, who were selected in the first round, to become comfortable and adjust to the NBA style, and that's exactly what he's been able to do.

The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action Monday night against the Boston Celtics as they search for their first summer league victory.
