Kevin Durant Makes His Opinion Of LeBron James As Teammate Extremely Clear

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant had nothing but praises for his Team USA teammate and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James when asked about his thoughts on the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player.

“It's just the enthusiasm and the energy he has for the game is just contagious, Durant said of James during an interview with the TODAY Show. “The more you’re around him as a teammate, you can see why he's considered the best player to ever play.”

That speaks a lot about how great of a player James is.

Durant is already widely considered among the greatest hoopers ever, and he had no issues acknowledging the perception that James is the “best” of them all.

Of course, Durant’s opinion won't end the burning debates about who is the greatest player of all time, but he certainly knew what he was talking about, having competed against and with James for several years as basketball contemporaries.

In the 2023-24 NBA season, James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists while shooting over 50% from the field.

James and Durant have a common goal this summer, and that’s to bring home the gold from Paris.
