Former NBA All-Star Brutally Roasts Bronny James With Stunningly Low Rookie Season Expectations

Bronny James' teaming up with his dad, LeBron James, on the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the biggest storylines in the NBA right now.

Despite a rough season in college with the USC Trojans, Bronny decided to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, where he got selected by the Lakers with the 55th overall pick.

Expectations for Bronny aren't all that high, but former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas seems to have set the bar very low for LeBron's son. When asked about his expectations for Bronny as a rookie with the Lakers, Arenas roasted the young guard in the worst possible way.

It's fair to assume that Bronny won't be making much of a contribution on the court for the Lakers as a rookie, even though the team signed him to a four-year, $8 million contract.

While Bronny will likely take the court alongside LeBron a couple of times, his rookie season is going to be geared towards him developing behind the scenes.

If you ask Arenas, though, it seems like he thinks Bronny will only be cheering from the sidelines for much of the season. Only time will tell whether or not he's forced to end up eating his words here.
