Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett is looking to continue making positive strides after he missed the entirety of his rookie season due to "mental health" reasons that he's cited.

Bennett has drawn a lot of praise with the way he's performed during this offseason, with the hopes that he can cement the backup role in Los Angeles even despite the fact the team signed Jimmy Garoppolo earlier this year.

In a recent podcast appearance on UNRESERVED with TJ Callaway, Bennett spoke to the way that Garoppolo and starter Matthew Stafford helped him as he worked through his return ahead of the coming season.

"He's the man. He's the man," Bennett said. "And Jimmy (Garoppolo) too. I'm learning a lot from him. Mainly things that you kind of - he just does the right way and he can throw it better than anybody. Just learning how to be a quarterback, and who knows if that'll - I hope I'm good enough to do it, doing everything I can to do it."

So far, Bennett has shown all the right signs in bouncing back from adversity. It is something that he is no stranger to after he came into Georgia as a two-star walk-on prospect who turned into a back-to-back national champion who may be the best best underdog story college football has ever had to offer.

He'll look to show he can pull himself up in the same fashion as the preseason -- which will be an incredibly important one for him -- begins for the Rams with a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 11.
