It's no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled to make a splash in the summer thus far in terms of improving their roster ahead of the upcoming season. After all, they did fail in their high-profile free-agency pursuit of Klay Thompson and DeMar DeRozan, to name a couple.

The Lakers, however, have found success in their coaching staff revamp. After hiring JJ Redick as their new head coach, the team has surrounded the incoming rookie shot-caller with as much experience as possible by hiring the likes of Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks as his assistants.

On Tuesday, ESPN's NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Lakers have added the newest member of Redick's staff. This comes in the form of ex-WNBA star and Sacramento Kings G League coach Lindsey Harding.

Harding, a two-time WNBA MVP contender, will be a crucial member of Redick's coaching staff. The former No. 1 overall pick is coming off a tremendous season with the Stockton Kings, where she was named the G League Coach of the Year.

Harding and Redick have worked together in the past. They crossed paths during Redick's stint with the Philadelphia 76ers, where Harding was a player development coach. Both are also former Duke Blue Devil stars.
