It took a while, but after he was hired as the Los Angeles Lakers’ newest head coach, JJ Redick started to fill out his staff.

He started out by adding Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks, both of whom had previously served as NBA head coaches for many years. The Lakers then hired Greg St. Jean, who had previously been a member of their coaching staff when they won the world championship in 2020 under then-head coach Frank Vogel.

On Tuesday, Lindsey Harding reportedly agreed to join Redick’s staff.

    Via ESPN:

“Sacramento Kings G League coach Lindsey Harding has agreed on a deal to become an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told ESPN on Tuesday,” wrote Adrian Wojnarowski.

“Harding — the G League Coach of the Year for the Stockton Kings — reconnects with coach JJ Redick to join his staff. Harding and Redick have a long history that dates back to her years as a player development coach with the Philadelphia 76ers and an All-American at Duke.”

After a successful tenure at Duke University, Harding was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 WNBA draft and played nine seasons in the league, two of which were spent with the Los Angeles Sparks. For her career, she averaged 9.8 points and 4.0 assists a game.

She helped guide the Stockton Kings to a 24-10 record last season, which was the best record in the G League.
