Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink was off to a good start to WNBA career after being selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2024 draft in mid-April.

But tragedy struck when Brink went down with an ACL tear on June 18, forcing her to miss the rest of the season. The former Stanford Cardinal star will also have to miss the 2024 Paris Olympics after she was selected to Team USA's 3x3 women's basketball roster alongside her good friend and TCU star Hailey Van Lith.

On Wednesday, the Sparks posted a photo online of Brink and WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, who is considered one of the best, if not the best, Sparks players ever.

Leslie played for Los Angeles from 1997-2009. She is a two-time WNBA champion and three-time MVP.

WNBA fans loved the first in-person interaction between Brink and Leslie and left their thoughts on it online.

In her first 15 WNBA games, Brink was averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in 22 minutes per game. Many fans and members of the media also had her in the running for WNBA Defensive Player of the Year.
