By now, most NBA fans know the controversy surrounding Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James.

Before the Lakers even drafted Bronny with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, numerous fans were accusing him of being the latest product of nepotism. Many are saying that his father, LeBron James, had every part to play in Bronny becoming a professional basketball player.

But famous actor and comedian Kevin Hart has a different take on this controversy. He believes that LeBron helping his son succeed is what any father would do. Hart used one word to describe this Bronny controversy among fans: "ignorance."

"When the conversation of nepotism and this and that, it's ignorance attached to that conversation. My daughter is in love with the idea of creativity and producing and development. It's my job as her father to not only give her the right information but put her in the best positions to succeed. But it's your job as my child to do the work. Why would [LeBron] not want his child to succeed?" Hart said.

In three games during the Las Vegas Summer League, Bronny has had underwhelming box scores. The former USC Trojans standout is averaging 7.3 points on 30% shooting, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.3 assists. The Lakers are 1-2 in those games.
