Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James got off to a rocky start in his first couple NBA Summer League performances.

But with his impressive showing on Thursday night, it's clear the No. 55 overall pick is starting to settle in at the next level.

James finished Thursday night's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a career-high 13 points on 5-10 shooting. He also chipped in with five rebounds, three assists and two blocks as the Lakers notched their second victory in a row.

This performance captured the attention of prominent figures around the league, including Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren.

"Looked like a pro," Holmgren wrote on X.

Holmgren was seemingly referencing some recent comments made by Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown. During a courtside appearance in Las Vegas, Brown was caught on the broadcast cameras appearing to say "I don't think Bronny is a pro."

Brown has since walked back his apparent comments.

"It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity! Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth," he wrote on X.

Since Brown's apparent comment, Bronny is averaging 12.5 points per game and the Lakers are 2-0.
