The MLB trade deadline is approaching quickly, and several teams will be searching for help. One of those teams is the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers currently sit on top of the National League West with a comfortable lead over the San Diego Padres, but they are chasing the Philadelphia Phillies for the top seed in the NL and have shown time and time again to be active at the deadline.

One player that has emerged on the Dodgers radar is Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena, per a report from MLB insider Mark Feinsand.

“The Dodgers are in on Arozarena,” a source said. “He would be a great fit there.”

The Dodgers are also showing interest in adding pitching help, including Tarik Skubal, but they could also add a bat.

Enter Arozarena. The Rays outfielder is hitting just .211 on the season but has 15 home runs and 35 RBI. He was an All-Star in 2023, recording a .254 batting average with 23 home runs and 83 RBI.

Arozarena is arbitration-eligible and making just $8.1 million this year.

Feinsand also mentioned Chicago White Sox star Luis Robert, Jr., as another player drawing interest from the Dodgers, according to his sources. Robert, Feinsand notes, is signed for $15 million in 2025 with $20 million club options for both 2026 and 2027.

The Dodgers have arguably the best lineup in baseball, with names such as Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Will Smith, not to mention Mookie Betts, who is working his way back from an injury.

But they have their eyes on both Robert and Arozarena, which would make the lineup even more dangerous.

The MLB trade deadline is on Tuesday, July 30, so it will be interesting to see if the Dodgers can swing a deal for a bat or an arm.
